Our mission is to develop sport in Brazil by enhancing management practices. We believe in sport as a development tool, this is what motivates us to work managing sports projects. iGesporte professionals are continuously seeking knowledge, studying sport both in the local and international contexts. iGesporte was created in academia and its success results from the synergy between theory and practice, professionals and academics.

Inaugurated on the 6th February 2013, the Sport Development Institute - iGesporte has the mission of developing sport in Brazil through the enhancement of management. iGesporte is a non-profit organisation based in Brasília, Brazil. Its main activities are reports, studies and projects in the sports sector.

Academia + market

iGesporte has a partnership with the Sport Management Research Laboratory from University of Brasília. The balance between professionals acting on sports business and academics studying sport underpins the success of the projects undertaken.

How we work

The team

iGesporte's team is formed by research doctors, masters, specialists and academics studying sport management.

The board of directors and staff is formed by the following professionals:

Honorary President of iGesporte. Associated Professor of the University of Brasília, PhD Health Sciences, MSc Business Administration, and Management of Human Resources Specialist. Founder and coordinator of GESPORTE. Member of the Federal District Council of Physical Education, Sport and Leisure - CONEF-DF.

President of iGesporte. MSc Sport Public Policies, Sport Management Specialist and BA Physical Education (Brazilian Army School). Executive coordinator of the National Sport Report. Research Group Coordinator for the National Project for Elite Sports Development.

Pedro Herique Azevêdo

Bachelor's degree in Management at the University of Brasília, MBA in Business Management at the University of São Paulo. Vice-president of iGesporte. Acted as a consultant in many projects in the areas of management and strategic planning.

Pedro Lima Mortoza

Bachelor's degree in Management at the University of Brasília, works in the sports market since 2012, especially in the areas of management and sport events. Collaborates in iGesporte's projects since 2016.
